Watchlist Sharing gives you the ability to share watchlists with other Koyfin users. This will enhance collaboration within Koyfin and allow you to create common workspaces to track securities and build watchlists with colleagues, friends, and communities.

Watchlist sharing is now live on the platform for ALL users! Additionally, this new improved version allows you to share all the tickers, columns, and views inside it.

How to share

  • Click the share button in the upper right corner of your watchlist page when you are filtered on the watchlist you want to share.
  • Enter the email addresses of the individuals you want to share the watchlist with.
  • Choose between granting the individuals Viewer or Editor permissions.
  • Hit share!

Viewer: Granting Viewer permission means the recipient will be able to view the watchlist, but won’t be allowed to make changes. In case they want to do so, they will have to make their own copy but any of their changes won’t be shared with you.

Editor: Granting Editor permission means the recipient will be able to make changes to the watchlist, which will be reflected for everyone who has access to the watchlist in real-time.

The owner of the watchlist can choose to change the permissions of each recipient, as well as revoke access, at any time.

How to receive a shared watchlist

When a user shares a watchlist with you, a notification email will be sent. From there, you can open the watchlist and be directed to the platform to preview the watchlist that has been shared with you.

Alternatively, by heading to My Data in the profile settings, the recipient can access watchlists that have been shared with them under the Shared with me section. Clicking on the shared watchlist will open up a preview in the watchlist section.

If you want to save the shared watchlist and observe changes reflected in real time or make edits, depending on your permissions, save the watchlist to your dashboards. Alternatively, if you would like a duplicate of the watchlist that is not shared, please copy the watchlist.
