v3.90: Compact Table

Compact Table is a new dashboard widget that optimizes for a highly condensed format, so you can view hundreds of tickers in a single dashboard on one screen.

There are two ways to add Compact Table:

To an existing dashboard. Open the dashboard and click Add Component in any open space. Select Compact Table from the list.

2. To a new dashboard. Click the + icon next to My Dashboards in the left navigation. In the Create New Dashboard dialog, name your dashboard, select Compact Table, and click Create New.

The widget is added with two empty sections, each pre-loaded with default columns: Ticker, Price, 1D, and 1D%.

Adding tickers

Click Add Ticker inside any section to open the ticker search. Search by name, ticker, or ISIN, and filter by asset type.

To add multiple tickers at once, click Import Securities and choose:

Paste tickers to paste a list of tickers
Import from watchlist to bring in tickers from an existing watchlist
Import from portfolio or fund to bring in tickers from a portfolio or fund

Imports are one-time. The section is not connected to the source after import.

Column selection

Click Columns in the top control bar to open the column picker. Select the columns you want to display. Column changes apply across all sections in the widget.

To reorder columns, drag and drop them in the column picker or directly on the column headers in the table.

Managing sections

A Compact Table widget is organized into sections, each holding its own set of tickers. All sections share the same columns, so you can compare groups at a glance.

Overflow. Open Settings in the top control bar to choose how sections handle tickers. Manual lets sections grow vertically. Auto sets a fixed number of rows per section, and any extra tickers flow into a new column. Auto is useful when you're working with a large number of tickers and want to avoid vertical scrolling.

Adding and reordering sections. When Overflow is set to Manual, click the + icon to the right of the last section to add a new one, or drag and drop sections to change their order.

Grouping tickers

Click Group in the top control bar to organize tickers within a section. Choose a pre-defined grouping like Sector, Industry, or ETF Category, or select My Custom Groups to create your own.

With My Custom Groups, click New Group at the bottom of a section, name it, and confirm. You can then add tickers to it directly.

You can also collapse or expand all groups, and sort them ascending, descending, or by default.

Adjusting density

Open Settings in the top control bar and choose a Table Density: Regular, Compact, or Extra Compact.

Limits

Each widget can hold up to 5,000 tickers. Compact Table is available on all plans as part of My Dashboards.
