v3.97: Matching your account structure to an integration

When connecting to Altruist, Black Diamond, or Orion, account structures will pass through when imported into Koyfin automatically. This includes structures such as Relationships, Households, and Portfolios. You are free to organize accounts at your discretion thereafter.

If, at any time, you wish to synchronize the structures in Koyfin back to the integration structure, you can use the Match function, which will reconcile the structure back to source settings.

Where to find Match

  • On the Client Portfolios homepage, open the Manage Integrations modal and find the connected integration's card.
  • In Profile Settings, open the Integrations page and find the connected integration's card.

On a supported integration's card, look for the Match structure section and the Match button.

Schwab, IBKR, Fidelity, TradePMR, and Addepar are not compatible with this functionality.

Running a Match

  1. On the integration's card, click Match in the Match structure section.
  2. In the confirmation dialog, review how the structure will be imported, then click Confirm and Match.

The dialog closes and you return to the Client Portfolios homepage, where a banner shows that your accounts are being reorganized. The table will update when the Match is complete.

What Match does to your accounts

Match aligns each account and grouping with the integration source structure:

  • Accounts still in their source position stay where they are.
  • Accounts moved out of their source position return to it.
  • Accounts from a different source, or ones you created, that are inside a source household or portfolio move to No Households.

When there's nothing to change

If your structure already matches the source, a message confirms that no matching was needed.

If a Match fails

If a Match doesn't complete, a message will inform you, and an error appears in the table toolbar. Open it to see which integration failed, then retry the Match or contact support at help@koyfin.com.
